Pappy’s Garlic Teriyaki Chicken Thighs

No need to turn on the oven in the summer heat!  These skillet Pappy’s Teriyaki chicken thighs are cooked right on the stove.

Serves: 4-6 people

Ingredients

  • 4 cloves of garlic peeled and chopped

  • 1 bottle Pappy’s Teriyaki Sauce

  • 6 chicken thighs

  • Green onion for garnish

Instructions

  • Combine together the crushed garlic and bottle of Pappy’s Teriyaki Sauce

  • Pierce each chicken thigh with the tip of a sharp knife all over to ensure a faster cook time.  This also helps the sauce absorb through the chicken instead of just coating it.

  • Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat.  Sear the chicken for about 4-5 minutes each side, (depending on the thickness of each chicken thigh) until golden brown and nearly done(you will cook more with the sauce in the pan)

  • Drain any excess fat from pan

  • Pour in the sauce to evenly distribute you may not need the whole bottle just enough to thoroughly coat the chicken with more to use as a pour over sauce when done.  Cover and cook for a couple minutes.

  • Uncover and continue to cook until sauce thickens and reduces down about 3-4 minutes.  Coat each thigh with sauce and then remove from pan onto a bed of rice or steamed vegetables. Top with green onion and serve
